PIQF 2024

Check out some of my favorite quilts from the Pacific International Quilt Festival Show 2024 in Santa Clara, CA.

PIQF was such a great show this year! I went for one day - the last day - and I’m so glad I made the 45 minute drive to the South Bay to check it out. If you haven’t been to PIQF before, it usually is in October, but this year they held it in July. It worked out well for me, since October is a tricky time of year to sneak away from my routine.

I have only been to a handful of quilt shows, and this one definitely is an exciting one! The scale is not as large as Modern Quilt Guild’s QuiltCon, but is a bit larger than the San Francisco Quilt Guild’s QuiltSF. It’s a nice happy medium of a quilt show and can be (quickly) seen in a day if you’re well hydrated and feeling energized.

There are a lot of classes and workshops that are offered and the show floor is intermingled with vendors of all sorts. It’s really a fun experience!

I took a quick walk through a vendor aisle and found a SoMa Quilt hanging at the TrishTacSew booth! It’s always a fun surpise to see my designs hanging when I wasn’t expecting it! If you haven’t shopped Trish’s shop before, you should check it out! She carries a beautiful selection of Cherrywood hand dyed fabrics that are so stunning and rich! Tell her I sent you!

Let’s Get to the Quilts!

There were a LOT of fantastic quilts at the show. I took photos of the ones that stood out to me the most. Share with me in the comments which ones are your favorites!

That’s all! Thanks for reading!

I had an absolute blast seeing all the immense talent and craftsmanship at PIQF. I’m planning on attending QuiltCon next year in Phoenix, and I’m stoked to see what other amazing bits of quilty artistry will be there!
